The intrinsic satisfaction of Finnish teachers is a gift to taxpayers who receive great value for their money. To attract equally qualified and well-educated people in countries where the teaching profession is less popular would force the government to pay high salaries. Finland’s ability to create attractive working conditions that generate high satisfaction among teachers explains a good deal of their success story.“
