„The Austrian vocational education and training system ensures high employability. Employment rates for 25-34 year-olds with an upper secondary or post-secondary non-tertiary vocational qualification are as high as for individuals with a tertiary one (86% and 88% respectively). This holds true for both work-study programmes and school-based programmes. In contrast, individuals with a general qualification at the upper secondary or post-secondary non-tertiary level have difficulties finding employment. Among this small group of 25-34 year-olds, 72% are employed.“
