„While most 15-year-old students reported participating in early childhood and education care (ECEC), differences in participation exist. Disadvantaged students are particularly falling behind, despite research showing that these groups benefit from ECEC the most. […] Canada is the only country with available data where disadvantaged migrant boys participated in ECEC similarly to their native peers. In all the other countries with available data, students with an immigrant background participated in ECEC at a lower rate compared to their peers.“
